Before I got sponsorship from Fashion East, I showed independently. This was my first installation at Blacks members Club on Dean street. They very kindly leant me their space, and it was probably the most stressful thing I had ever done up to that point, not only is everything in the club antique, expensive AND my responsibility, but trying to invite people to a weird off schedule installation by someone at that point completely unknown... well stressful to say the least, real 'birthday party' fears. As it happens people did show up including the beautiful Lulu Kennedy, who went on to be my biggest supporter... these are some pics of the event.
